Concept 2: 2,500,000m

Nothing too exciting, I guess it could be classed as a silver anniversary level of achievement: I completed my 2,500,000th meter on the Concept 2 indoor rower this morning:

Looking back to the beginning of the log I see started this journey almost 3 years ago: the first row was logged on 5 July 2010. I don’t recall exactly what I weighed at the time, but it was probably around 80-85kg (down from 95kg 4 months earlier), and for the last 1.5 years I’ve been stable around 70-75kg.

If you tick the box to include warm-ups and warm-downs then I’ve done 2,859km:

This morning’s session felt good (and at the time I didn’t realise I’d be passing some arbitrary number), with two hard-effort 3-minute intervals (completed at about 1:51/500m) and a steady tempo piece to a total of 30 minutes.

Here’s to another 2.5 million!
