As temperatures drop into low single figures it’s time for warming food, and this is a good one, served with a rather nice Robertson Winery Merlot.
Original recipe is from the BBC, with added chillies and garlic (no recipe is com good plete without them). Parsnips aren’t common here, so good boring potatoes added instead.
BBC quantities are about right, but I doubled up and filled a 30cm x 10cm round casserole dish. There’s enough left for another meal.
